First Foal for Invader

Media Release - Tuesday August 13

With the foaling season in full swing, the team at Aquis have five stallions with their first crop foals due this season, and we are delighted to have already foaled down a stunning colt by Group I winner Invader.

Invader colt from MediationFoaled during the final few days of July at Aquis' Hunter Valley property was the chestnut Invader x Mediation (GB) colt.

The third foal of the winning daughter of Azamour from the family of international black type winners Macleya and Montclair, the colt has been described as "A spitting image of his sire," by Aquis Head of Nominations Jimmy Unwala.

"He is our first Invader foal and has plenty of size, beautiful top and a big powerful hip. He is exactly what I expect to see from a sire who was a Champion 2YO colt."

As the Champion 2YO of his season, Invader's crowning moment came when defeating a host of elite level performers including Trapeze Artist, Menari, Summer Passage and Frolic in the Gr.1 ATC Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick.

Covering a significant book of over 150 mares in his first season, Invader has all the right credentials to continue the legacy, and dominance of his Champion Sire-line; Snitzel, Redoute's Choice and Danehill.

Invader will stand in the Hunter Valley this season for a fee of $27,500 (inc. GST).
