Fields and form now online for Moonee Valley Saturday

Melbourne Cup winner Almandin could be the drawcard at Saturday's Moonee Valley meeting for which Racenet has the fields and form available online.

Owner Lloyd Williams has accepted to run Almandin in the MSC Signs Handicap (2040m) and has booked senior rider Ben Melham to ride the import with a 61kg impost.

Almandin took three runs to build fitness last time in before hitting winning form when he got to 2400m in the Listed Harry White Classic (2400m) at Caulfield.

The Listed Carlyon Stakes is one of two feature races at Moonee Valley on Saturday and the 1000m scamper has attracted 13 acceptors, including last year's winner Heatherly and the Group I-placed Jungle Edge.

A field of 11 has accepted to contest the Listed McKenzie Stakes in which Godolphin colt Bandipur will chase his third win in four starts this time in while VRC Sires' Produce Stakes winner Sircconi will resume in the $120,000 contest.

Saturday's program starts at 12:25pm (AEDT). The track was rated a soft (6) at acceptance time while the rail will be in the true position for the entire circuit.

The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Melbourne for the rest of the week is:

Wednesday: Afternoon showers. Max 16.
Thursday: Possible shower. Max 14.
Friday: Cloudy. Max 16.
Saturday: Shower or two. Max 14
