Sun Stud's speed source, SQUAMOSA,
has notched up another stakes winner with ORDER OF COMMAND producing a,
literally, command performance down the straight six at Flemington, capturing
the Hilton Nicholas Stakes.
Wisely retained by his Victorian
breeders, Order of Command came into the Hilton Nicholas on the back of a
comfortable win at Caulfield on 11 May and now has six wins and five placings
from just 15 starts.
Interviewed post-race, trainer Danny
O'Brien was thrilled with Order of Command's effort and is likely to aim the
Squamosa flyer at rich spring sprints on the back of Saturday's win.
Order of Command is out of the
Commands mare, Commanding Angel and is related to a number of top notch
sprinters including Love Of Mary, Jabali and Hong Kong Horse of the Year,
Sacred Kingdom.
Standing at Sun Stud this season at a fee of just $6,600 (no payment until live foal), SQUAMOSA is having a blockbuster 48 hours with Order of Command's fellow (multiple) stakes winner, KIWI IDA notching up her 10th career victory on Friday, while Enver Jusufovic's VONGOLE made it two wins from three starts with a gutsy display against older rivals at Pakenham on Thursday night.
