Front Running Forsa Eclipse Dominates at Selangor

Media Release - Monday May 20

$110,000 Ready to Run Sale purchase Forsa Eclipse(NZ) (Showcasing) produced a dominant front-running performance to win Sunday's RM100,000 Malaysia Listed 3YO Championship (Heat 2) (1200m) at Selangor.

ShowcasingThe three-year-old broke sharply from the starting gate and was sent to a clear lead by jockey Ruzaini bin Supien.

The result was never in doubt from there, as Forsa Eclipse kicked away in the home straight to score an easy victory by three and a half lengths. The 1200 metres were run in 1:10.3.

Trained by Frank Maynard, Forsa Eclipse has now had three starts for two wins, one second placing and more than RM100,000 in prize-money.

Forsa Eclipse was bred by Tim Harrison and was put through the Karaka sale ring twice by vendor Te Runga Stud. He was passed at the 2017 Select Sale with a $40,000 reserve, then sold to Iman Hartono at the Ready to Run Sale later that year.
