Inglis Ready2Race Sale Shaping as Strongest Ever

Media Release - Tuesday July 25

The catalogue for Australia's most lucrative 2YO Sale continues to grow, with the 2017 Inglis Ready2Race Sale shaping as the best ever.

With 10 days remaining before entries close on Friday August 4, vendors are again lining up to be involved in the action, which this year will take place at Oaklands Junction, Melbourne on Wednesday October 4.

Last year's Inglis Ready2Race Sale averaged $62,371, or 27% higher than its nearest competitor.

The median of $45,000 was almost 30% more than any competitor.

The on-track results from last year's graduates have been impressive to date, with winners in several continents already.

Go Daddy GoSmart Missile colt Debellatio has won two of his five starts including the Group 3 WA Sires Produce Stakes at Ascot – as well as being Group 2-placed – while Go Daddy Go (pictured) looks a highly progressive type after his win in the $125,000 Clarendon Stakes at the Hawkesbury stand-alone meeting earlier this year.

Both Debellatio and Go Daddy Go were offered by Chevaux Bloodstock.

Another brilliant performer sold at last year's Inglis Ready2Race Sale is the impressive Hong Kong winner Fantastic Show.

The Not A Single Doubt gelding was sold by Muskoka Farm, who have another strong draft coming to this year's sale.

In four short years, the Inglis Ready2Race Sale has now produced 18 individual Stakes performers and a host of multiple winners across South East Asia and Australia.

Initial vendor interest in the 2017 sale has been immense, with in excess of 100 entries already received.

Of the early entries, leading sires such as I Am Invincible, Fastnet Rock, High Chaparral, Sebring, Written Tycoon, More Than Ready, Medaglia d'Oro, Artie Schiller, All Too Hard, Foxwedge, Animal Kingdom, Pierro, Reward For Effort, Smart Missile, So You Think, Your Song, Star Witness and Choisir are represented.

In addition, progeny of First Season Sires including Zoustar, Epaulette, Sizzling, Shamus Award, Fighting Sun, Kuroshio, Camelot, Declaration Of War, Eurozone, The Factor, Unencumbered and War are also entered.

Cranbourne Turf Club will host two breeze-up sessions ahead of the sale, on Monday September 4 and Monday October 2.

The Sydney breeze-up will be held at Canterbury racecourse on Friday September 8.

To enter, contact our Sydney office on 02 9399 7999 or our Melbourne office on 03 9333 1422, orCLICK HERE.
