The Inglis Australian Weanling Sale on Thursday gave us a small taste of what is to come in terms of first season sires whose yearlings will hit the sales of 2020, so which young sires made their mark.

Coolmore Australia's US Triple Crown winner American Pharoah achieved the single best result with a colt from Fastnet Rock mare Triband fetching $220,000 for Coolmore when knocked down to Aquis – read about him here





American Pharoah stands at $66,000 this year and has 13 entries for Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

Newgate Farm's Blue Diamond winner Extreme Choice kicked a goal with his filly from well bred High Chaparral (IRE) mare Sprout making $140,000 for Segenhoe when secured by Jadeskye Racing.

Extreme Choice stands at $22,000 and has 15 entries for Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

Arrowfield Stud's Maurice (Jpn ) had one entry in the sale and the colt from Ausbred Friend made $105,000 for Fairview Park when bought by Randwick Bloodstock Agency/ Rushton Park.




Maurice stands at $27,500 and has six entries for Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

Newgate Farm's Golden Slipper winner and Champion 2YO Capitalist had a good result with a filly from Rowdy Belle fetching $100,000 for Aquis when bought by Newgate Bloodstock.




Capitalist stands at $55,000 and has 32 entries for Magic Millions National Weanling Sale .

Newgte Farm's Champion 3YO Flying Artie made his mark with a colt from En Why Sea Dream making $90,000 for Caithness Breeding when bought by Ampulla Lodge.

Flying Artie stands at $27,500 and has 34 entries for Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
