A
Group I winner last Saturday of the ATC All Aged Stakes, Pierata has been
retired after connections reached an agreement with Aquis Farm to secure the
stallion's future at stud.
Aquis Tweeted today - Aquis
can confirm they have entered a Heads of Agreement to purchase Pierata.
However, we stress the completion of the deal is subject to full veterinary
inspection and fulfilling all stallion insurance requirements.
A $3.3 million earning son of leading sire Pierro, Pierata ticks all the boxes
as a stallion prospect in terms of pedigree, performance and conformation
making him a highly desirable commodity.
Trained by Greg Hickman, Pierata was a $160,000 Magic Millions Yearling purchase
and has proven a runaway success at every stage of his career wining seven
races and placing seven times from 19 starts.
He is the highest earning Australian stakes-winner for Golden Slipper winner
Pierro, who has been a spectacular success at stud and stands this spring at a
fee of $88,000.
