Karaka Graduate Brings More Success for Peters

Tara Madgwick - Friday April 19
Bob and Sandra Peters enjoy spectacular success with their stable of homebreds, but it was one of their Karaka purchases that had them in the winner's circle at Ascot on Good Friday when Celebrity Dream took out the Listed WATC Sheila Gwynne Classic.

Celebrity Dream as a yearlingAlready a Group III winner and multiple stakes-winner, the Adam Durrant trained daughter of Thorn Park racked up her 11th win when forging clear to win the 1400 metre contest by a length and a half.

A $260,000 NZB Premier purchase from the Haunui Farm draft for John Chalmers Bloodstock, Celebrity Dream has won over $600,000 in prizemoney.

She has become a valuable broodmare prospect being a sibling to Group winners Vavasour and Catalonia as well as Group I placed Rondinella from the great producing Group III winner Valpolicella.

Completely free of Danehill blood, six year-old Celebrity Dream will be an easy horse to mate this spring if connections elect to finish her racing career this year.
