The first two races at Gosford on Wednesday were both won by blue-blooded Chris Waller trained fillies owned by Japanese owner breeder Katsumi Yoshida.

The first race was won by three year-old Lord Kanaloa filly Achondrite, who cast off maiden status at her fourth start when winning by a long neck over 1600 metres.

A $375,000 Magic Millions purchase for Yoshida from the Arrowfield draft, Achondrite is a half-sister to Japanese Group I winner Aerolithe from Asterix (Jpn), a half-sister to the dam of Group I winner Mikki Isle who has been shuttling to Arrowfield.

Arrowfield will offer a Redoute's Choice colt from Asterix this afternoon asLot 366 at Inglis Easter.

Winning the next race was two year-old I Am Invincible filly Iskander, who led all the way to win at her second start.

A $500,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Rosemont Stud draft, Iskander is a half-sister to South African Group I winner Alboran Sea and is the seventh winner from Lady's Light (USA).
