One to Watch – Ballarat

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 24
Dundeel has had some exciting winners this year and unleashed a six length debut juvenile winner at Ballarat on Sunday.

Super Seth as a yearlingTrained by Anthony Freedman and ridden by Mark Zahra, Super Seth was a hot favourite and could not have been more impressive. Ridden quietly after jumping from the outside in the field of 12, Super Seth angled into the clear on straightening and powered to the line before being eased down to win with ears pricked.

A $280,000 Inglis Easter Book II purchase for Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock from the Arrowfield draft, Super Seth runs for Pinecliff Racing and partners.

Bred by Arrowfield and Planette Thoroughbred, Super Seth is a half-brother to smart stakes-winner Wild Planet, who was a close second in the Listed ATC Darby Munro stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

He is the second winner from Salutations, a placed Redoute’s Choice daughter of Group II winner Toast of the Coast.

Arrowfield sold a full sister to Super Seth at the Magic Millions this year for $70,000 and Salutations is back in foal again to Dundeel.
