New G3 Winner Nettoyer Entered for Chairman's

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 10
A five year-old daughter of ill-fated Sebring, talented mare Nettoyer has been threatening to win a stakes race for some time now and got the job done at Randwick on Saturday when taking out the Group III ATC Aspiration Quality.

Trained and part-owned by Warwick Farm conditioner Wendy Roche, Nettoyer (images Steve Hart) had been stakes-placed five times previously and was cherry ripe for this 1600 metre contest at her third run back from a spell.

She settled a little worse than midfield for Blake Shinn and surged away to win by a length and a half taking her overall record to three wins and six placings from 19 starts with prizemoney topping $346,000.

"This is all about Wendy," Blake Shinn said.

"This is her headline horse. It's great for Wendy to win a Group Three on a big day here at Randwick. It's really special for her.

"The mare is top class. It's just a matter of finding her niche in terms of the right distance range and everything panned out nicely today."

Nettoyer was a modest $20,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Riversdale draft and was then passed in when offered at the two year-old Inglis Ready2Race Sale.

She is entered for the upcoming Inglis Chairman's Sale as a broodmare prospect and with a valuable Group III win on her resume has increased her worth considerably.

Bred by Invermien Pty Ltd, she is the best of four winners from Cleanup, a half-sister by Dehere (USA) to Group III winner She's Clean from the family of Group I Oaks winners Absolutely and Abbey Marie.

Nettoyer is the 52nd stakes-winner for Sebring, who covered 199 mares last spring at a fee of $66,000.
