Tenth Winner for All Too Hard

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday July 25
Black Caviar's half-brother All Too Hard added a tenth winner to his tally at Wyong on Tuesday when two year-old filly Za Zi Ba scored a stylish victory.

Resuming from a spell and having her first start for new trainer Brad Widdup after two unplaced runs in good company earlier this year for Gerald Ryan, Za Zi Ba showed her true colours.

Za Zi Ba as a yearlingShe was quickly into stride for Christian Reith from an inside gate and worked forward to stay out of trouble before kicking on to win this very competitive fillies maiden over 1100 metres by half a length.

"She's been terrific throughout this preparation," said Brad Widdup.

"She's a lovely filly and had the good gate today.

"She has some great owners and I'm lucky to have her in the stable."

Za Zi Ba was a $400,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Kitchwin Hills draft and runs for a partnership that includes Max Whitby, Neil Werrett and Damion Flower, for whom Brad Widdup is now the primary trainer.

A half-sister to Group III placed Redoutable Heart, Za Zi Ba is the fifth winner from stakes-placed More Than Ready (USA) mare Wiener, a sibling to Group I winner Snitzel and Group III winners Hinchinbrook and Viennese.

All Too Hard has now sired 10 winners in total with one in New Zealand, his offspring headed by the stakes-winner Curdled.

Vinery Stud have set the fee for All Too Hard this spring at $44,000.
