Breeding Purchase Now a Four time Winner

Media Release - Friday February 15

Nanango–based trainer Glenn Richardson is enjoying a hot-winning streak with his $4,800 gavelhouse Australia purchase Bel Seleva who notched her fourth in a row on Saturday at Gladstone.

Since her purchase online from Brideoake Racing in June last year Bel Seleva has since earnt connections $20,950 in prize money however it was her worth as a broodmare that prompted owner Colin Bell to buy her, being particularly fond of the four-year-old's sire Bel Esprit "Colin purchased Bel Seleva as a potential broodmare as he likes the Bel Esprit bloodline so anything she does on the track is a bonus," commented Richardson.

Winning her last start clear of the field by three and a half lengths, Richardson feels he's found the key to the gutsy mare.

"She's won her last four starts well and believe the key to her success has been the soft tracks and sending her to the front which is why we have kept her on the sand tracks.

"We may look to bring her further south when the grass tracks have a bit more give in them."

Bel Seleva is by the same sire as sprinting queen Black Caviar and is out of the Kings of Roses mare Jezeera.
