Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 10
On Friday, Godolphin tasted stakes success in Tasmania with Epaulette three year-old Cossetot and on Sunday were back in the winner's circle in Hobart with another Epaulette three year-old after Rock Dove captured the Listed Strutt Stakes (2100m).

EpaulettePlaced at her past four starts in Victoria, the James Cummings trained Rock Dove overpowered the favourite Our Long Sail to win by a length and a half.

A homebred for Godolphin, Rock Dove has the consistent record of two wins and four placings from nine starts with prizemoney in excess of $120,000.

Rock Dove is the best of four winners from Dubawi (IRE) mare Pouter, a half-sister to stakes-winner Excelltastic from the family of US Group I winner Dreams Gallore.

Pouter was sold in 2017 by Godolphin at the Inglis Broodmare Sale with Murrulla Stud picking her up for $57,000 and they will offer her current yearling by Brazen Beau as Lot 609 a the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale on Tuesday and he is pictured below.

Pouter had no foal last year, but is now in foal to Aquis Farm's young sire Spieth.

Rock Dove is the sixth stakes-winner for Darley's Epaulette, who is stepping up to follow in the footsteps of his much missed sire Commands, who sired a Group I double on Saturday with Manuel winning the Group I MRC CF Orr Stakes in Melbourne while star kiwi mare Melody Belle landed the Group I BCD Sprint in New Zealand.
