Amazing Team shooting for black-type

Breednet - Saturday February 2
Benjamin Kwok's $3,200 gavelhouse, com purchase Amazing Team lines up for her third start today and is shooting for some valuable black-type in the Gr3 Woburn Farm Classic at Taranaki Racing's meeting.

Amazing TeamThe Sacred Falls filly is named Amazing Team to reflect Hong Kong-based Kwok's admiration for the people he's engaged in New Zealand to help with his growing horse interests.

Bred by Curraghmore Stud Ltd, Amazing Team was offered for sale online as an unbroken yearling filly in May last year and after her last start at Trentham where she flashed home for third, she had plenty of good judges talking.

"Amazing Team got me contacts with a new team of people and I hope this will be an amazing start for us," Kwok said.

"From this filly, I have more contact with Gordon Cunningham of Curraghmore and then I bought Swiss Precision, also via gavelhouse.com, and she is in foal to Zacinto and now continues staying at Curraghmore."

"Amazing Team was broken in by Sam Beatson whom I knew more from the Ready to Run sales and also Ben Foote and last but not least, I started to have contact with Graeme Rogerson, whom I respect a lot and work more closely with nowadays."

"This is a wonderful situation for everyone and I really wish this wonderful story to continue."

Amazing Team is trained by the Rogerson Racing team and has drawn barrier one today with Rosie Myers engaged for the ride.

Co-trainer Debbie Rogerson is confident the filly can give a good account of herself today
"She ran really well last start at Trentham and has been working well since then."

"I think she will handle the track at New Plymouth and we're expecting her to run well."

"We've got four other runners going down to the meeting and we're expecting them to run well also."

Out of three time winner Flower Girl (Bachelor Duke), Amazing Team is a half-sister to multiple winners Roc de Bank (Roc de Cambes) and Touch of Silver (Guillotine) with plenty of quality black type in their pedigree including the likes of Starcraft, Sports Illustrated, Forum Floozie, Century Kid and many more.

The latest gavelhouse.com New Zealand auction is online now and is set to close from 7pm on Monday while entries for the next gavelhouse.com Australia auction are due at 7pm Monday. Email info@gavelhouse.comif you have any questions about using gavelhouse.com.
