Ross Hatton Launches Rathmore Bloodstock

Media Release - Wednesday January 23

After nearly seven years at Cornerstone Stud, Ross Hatton has established his own business, Rathmore Bloodstock.

Ross Hatton"Having 20 years of experience in the thoroughbred industry behind me, from when I was a teenager working evenings and weekends on my grandfather’s Rathmore Farm in Ireland, through to spending the past 7 years at Cornerstone Stud in various bloodstock, client relations, marketing, sales and operations roles, I feel now is the time for me to launch my own Rathmore Bloodstock business.” Hatton explained

"I would like to thank Sam Hayes and the Cornerstone team, for their terrific support in helping me get started. I look forward to having the continued support of
Cornerstone in the form of being a major client of Rathmore Bloodstock going forward.”

"There are countless friendships with clients formed over the past few years that I hope will continue for many, many years to come. I am delighted to have a few of these friends put their hand up and offer their support already.”

"My partner Max has bought a farm in the hills, less than an hour from Adelaide, and this is where I will be basing myself out of.”

"Being a multifaceted business, I will be operating as a bloodstock consultancy and advisory, with a speciality in trading of young horses, fillies off the track and broodmares. Pedigree research with regard to stallion selection and broodmare purchases is also an area I am confident I can deliver on for breeders wanting to move their bloodstock up a gear. I want all my clients, big and small to enjoy the life they lead in breeding and racing… this game has got to be fun, but it also has to be profitable.”

In addition to this, but separately, Ross has also begun working in a role for Aushorse through the Racing Connections program. In this role he will be looking to break down any barriers of entry in the hope of getting more people involved in racehorse ownership by connecting them with trainers and syndicators to sample a day at the races.

Ross’ phone number will remain the same 0487 173 989 and you can also get in touch with him by emailing ross@rathmorebloodstock.com

A Rathmore Bloodstock Facebook page has been set up and website construction is about to commence at rathmorebloodstock.com

"I am very much looking forward to catching up with as many people as possible in the coming weeks and months, most likely at the sales. Please feel free to give me a call anytime.”

Sam Hayes is full of support for the venture.

"We look forward to supporting Ross as he embarks on this exciting new venture," said Cornerstone Stud boss Sam Hayes.

"We have begun advertising the position of Bloodstock and Nominations Manager. We shall keep everyone informed as we search for the ideal candidate.

"I would like to thank Ross for his contribution to Cornerstone Stud over many years and we look forward to doing more business in the future."
