Not
all the best Magic Millions graduates were in action at the Gold Coast on
Saturday with this Randwick winner stamping himself as a likely new
stakes-winner for outstanding young sire Zoustar.
Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, three year-old colt Star Fall (image Steve Hart ) is
unbeaten since resuming from a spell in early December, racking up his third
straight victory with a powerful sprinting performance in the Benchmark 74
sprint over 1000 metres.
He carried 59 kg with Linda Meech in the saddle and zoomed to the line from off
the pace to win by more than two lengths in a slick 57.34 seconds.
A $250,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Woodside Park draft for Ciaron
Maher Racing, Star Fall has won four of six starts earning over $220,000 and
looks well up to tackling stakes class races in the future.
Star Fall is the first winner for stakes-winning Kendargent mare Snow Bell
(Fr).
Zoustar has been super popular during the Magic Millions Yearling Sale Book One
with 40 yearlings averaging $320,375.
