All Too Hard Winner Impressive

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 16

Your Song and All Too Hard have been trading blows since August 1, posting winner after winner with All Too Hard adding his 14thwinner when well-bred Aberro saluted at Sandown as a short priced favourite on Wednesday.

Second to subsequent stakes-winner Merchant Navy on debut back in March and then sixth in the Group I ATC Champagne Stakes to The Mission, Aberro went to the spelling paddock as one our most promising maidens.

All Too Hard has started the new season running! The Matt Laurie trained colt was a hot favourite when resuming in the 1300 metre maiden on Wednesday and was able to overcome his outside gate to score a head win in a thrilling finish over Fastnet rock colt Wassergeist.

Given time to find his feet back in the field by Ben Melham, Aberro unwound a powerful finish that will see him winning more races, probably over a touch further.

Retained to race, Aberro is a half-brother to Group I SAJC South Australian Derby winner Escadero (by All Too Hard's sire Casino Prince) and Group II winner Se Sauveur.

He is the third winner for Giant's Causeway (USA) mare Secret Truth, who was covered last spring by Pride of Dubai.

A half-brother to the great champion Black Caviar, All Too Hard stands at Vinery Stud at a fee of $44,000.
