Magic Comes to Wyong

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday December 11
The $200,000 Magic Millions 2YO Classic at Wyong on Wednesday has drawn a hot little field of 10 and will feature an intriguing clash between two promising spring stakes-winners.

Unite and Conquer - image grant CourtneyThe Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Hinchinbrook colt Unite and Conquer has been seen just the once winning the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial Stakes by more than two lengths.

Given a short respite after that outing, he looked good in a recent barrier trial and has drawn gate seven for his return.

An $80,000 Magic Millions purchase for Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott/Blue Sky (FBAA) from the Musk Creek Farm draft, Unite and Conquer runs for a syndicate of Blueblood Thoroughbred owners.

His half-brother by So You Think from Maglissa will be offered at the 2019 Magic Millions by Valiant Stud as Lot 776.

The Hayes Dabernig trained Spirit of Boom filly Champagne Boom won the Listed MRC Inglis Debutant Stakes on debut before finishing hard for third in the Group III VRC Ottawa Stakes in testing wet conditions.

Champagne Boom - Grant CourtneyShe'll be strong to the line and can give the colt a run for his money.

Spaceboy (Deep Field) and Exceed the Stars (Star Witness) have both shown good ability in their only starts and loom as being competitive while several of the unraced brigade have trialled well and bear watching including the Brad Widdup trained duo Jailbreak (Rubick) and Islands (I Am Invincible).
