Interestingly five-time Group I winner Lankan Rupee heads the Lawrence Stakes acceptors but trainer Mick Price said on Tuesday the son of Redoute's Choice would probably head to Adelaide for the Group III Spring Stakes in which the gelding has drawn barrier one.

The Darren Weir stable will provide six Lawrence Stakes runners, including Black Heart Bart, Humidor and Amelie's Star while import Gailo Chop will have his first run for Victoria's premier trainer.

Godolphin will run Hartnell in the PB Lawrence Stakes while Montoya's Secret will also resume in the $200,000 race.

The Caulfield card also features the return of the Blue Diamond Stakes winner Catchy in the Group III Quezette Stakes (1100m) while a field of 14 three-year-old colts and geldings has accepted for the Group III Vain Stakes (1100m).

Saturday's program starts at 12:20pm (AEDT). The track was rated a good (4) at acceptance time while the rail will be in the three-metre position for the entire circuit.

The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Melbourne for the rest of the week is:

Wednesday: Possible shower. Max 17
Thursday: Shower or two. Max 15.
Friday: Showers. Max 13.
Saturday: Shower or two clearing. Max 13.
