The 2018 Arqana Breeding Stock Sale (December 8 – 11) is fast approaching offering local bloodstock investors their final chance of the year to snap up quality European bred fillies and broodmares such as Suspicieuse (Fr), the dam of Group III ATC Breeders Plate winner Dubious.

The dam of G3 Breeders Plate winner Dubious was bought from Arqana in December for 55,000 eurosAstute Victorian agent Sheamus Mills swooped on well related stakes-placed mare Suspicieuse at the 2013 Arqana Breeding Stock Sale in December paying just 55,000 euros for the half-sister to Group III winner Sediciosa.

She raced on for another season in Australia before retiring to stud in 2015 and her first foal, a colt by Not a Single Doubt, fetched $350,000 at the Magic Millions when knocked down to Aquis Farms /Ciaron Maher Bloodstock P/L.

Named Dubious, he provided the fairytale start for her stud career when coming out to win the Group III ATC Breeders Plate on debut in September for the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable.
