20 Winners for Toronado

Swettenham Stud shuttler Toronado (IRE) posted his 20th first crop winner overnight with promising filly Listen to the Wind scoring at Lingfield in the UK.

ToronadoTrained by William Haggas, Listen to the Wind forged clear to win the seven furlong contest by three-quarters of a length at her second start.

A 100,000 guinea purchase from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for Blandford Bloodstock, Listen to the Wind is the foruth winner from Henties Bay, a half-sister to Group I winners Blue Duster and Zieten.

Among the 20 winners for Toronado are five stakes-placegetters giving promise of good things to come next year when his first Northern Hemisphere progeny turn three.

A multiple Group I winning son of High Chaparral, Toronado stands at a fee of $22,000.
