Jockey Chad Lever has been released from hospital in Newcastle almost a week after suffering head, hand and facial injuries in a fall at Scone.
Lever fell from his mount near the home turn in a maiden race at Scone last Tuesday and was taken to John Hunter Hospital with concussion, a gash over his eye and hand and facial fractures.
He was discharged on Monday and will see Racing NSW's Dr David Duckworth in Sydney on Tuesday for follow-up treatment on his injuries.
"Thanks to everybody who sent in well wishes and support, much appreciated. Released from hospital today, doing well, mending needed!" Lever said on Twitter.
