The
powerful Darren Weir stable produced an impressive debut winner at Swan Hill on
Tuesday by former champion racehorses and leading sire So You Think, who
narrowly missed Group I success last weekend with D’Argento and Nakeeta Jane.
Three year-old filly Delusions kicked off her career with a commanding victory
in the 1200 metre maiden, steaming home out wide from back in the field to win
running away by four lengths.
A modest $80,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Edinglassie draft for Forest
Lodge Racing, Delusions is the second winner for Kissame Mucho, an unraced
half-sister by Fastnet Rock to stakes-winners Frespanol and Essington.
Already the sire of four Group I winners, So You Think stands at Coolmore at a
fee of $44,000.
