Epsom Field and Barrier Draw

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday September 25
The field and barriers are out for the Group I $1milion Epsom Handicap with Coolmore sires poised to play a big hand in the outcome given the first three in the market are by Fastnet Rock, So You think and Pierro.

UnforgottenChampion trainer Chris Waller is chasing his eighth win from the past 12 Sydney Group I mile handicaps after winning four of the previous six Doncasters and three of the last five Epsoms.

Waller has seven confirmed Epsom Handicap runners and his best chances are race favourite Unforgotten and second favourite D'Argento.

A four year-old daughter of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Unforgotten won the Group I ATC Australian Oaks last season and was sensational in winning the Group II ATC Chelsmford Stakes at her last start over 1600 metres.

Four year-old So You Think stallion D'Argento won the Group I ATC Rosehill Guineas last season and will be looking to continue a winning run for Star Thoroughbreds, who have had Group winners on the past two Saturday's in Invincibella and Noire.

The Greg Hickman trained Pierro stallion Pierata was second in the Group I ATC Randwick Guineas last season and will be greatly improved from his last start close second to Seige of Quebec in the Group II ATC Bill Ritchie Stakes.

The Epsom Handicap will be run as Race 7 on Saturday's card at 4.05pm.
