Champion
trainer Darren Weir bid farewell to his star I Am Invincible sprinter Hellbent
at the end of last season when he retired to stud, but may have found a
replacement with up and coming speedster Holy Blade taking out the Listed SAJC
Wylie Handicap at Morphettville on Saturday.

Another talented son of I Am Invincible, four year-old Holy Blade has been
progressing through the grades and took a big step up when claiming a short
half head win in the 1100 metre sprint.
A $180,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Yulong Investments from the Yarraman
Park draft, Holy Blade has won six of 13 starts earning nearly $200,000 in
prizemoney.
Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman
Park, Holy Blade is the best of eight winners from stakes-winner
Amphritite, who was on-sold by Yarraman Park in 2016 for $22,500.
Holy Blade is the 33
rd stakes-winner for I Am Invincible, who has
been setting the pace on the Australian General Sires List for this season and
stands at a fee of $192,500.
I Am Invincible became the first sire to hit $2million in earnings over the
weekend and Holy Blade is his

sixth stakes-winner so far this season which is
the most of any stallion. He also leads his rivals by winners with 40 on the
board since August 1!
