Greg Polson previews Quirindi Monday August 14

Greg Polson - Monday August 14

Quirindi is somewhat a horses for courses track and two trainers that know what it takes to win at the circuit provide the best bets on Monday.

Angela Davies took three horses to Quirindi for the 2016-17 racing season returning to the winner's stall on two occasions whilst Lees also prepared two winners from his eight runners.

Davies brings Yambaah Prince back to Quirindi after a class two victory at the track on June 26 hitting the line strongly over 1450m before being a beaten favourite in the same grade at Cessnock last start.

Back in grade on a track where he is proven suggests Yambaah Prince rates as the day's best bet in the Browning Motors Benchmark 59 Handicap (1600m).

The Lees stable saddles up Jardine in the Blacktown City Council Sister City Maiden Plate (1600m) where the return to a good track gives the mare her chance to record a confidence boosting first career win.

Jardine has been to the races on five occasions and has run poorly in three of those with the common factors being soft and heavy tracks but a repeat of her two runs on good tracks would see her win a Quirindi maiden easily.

Jardine was only two-lengths from the winner at Wyong when fourth on debut and finished third at Kembla beaten just over two-lengths on June 3.

Jardine is set to get all the favours in the run launching from the inside gate at Quirindi and with a return to a good track will take plenty of beating on Monday.
