Inglis Rural Announce Princes Farm Sale

Media Release - Tuesday August 21
Inglis Rural Property is pleased to announce the successful, off-market sale of Princes Farm to industry body Racing NSW.

Princes FarmIdeally located 1 hour west from Sydney's CBD, Princes Farm was the headquarters of famous Australian racing legend Bart Cummings.

Inglis Rural Property's Jamie Inglis and Sam Triggs marketed the property to targeted investors and thoroughbred groups including high profile breeders and trainers both domestically and internationally to identify the successful purchaser. The strategic location along with the high level of development and excellent location on the Nepean River ensured that the sale of the property created a competitive sale process.

Princes Farm comprised approximately 137 acres of manicured rolling country, only 1 hour from Sydney's CBD near Windsor/Richmond in the Sydney Basin. The farm featured three houses, including a lovely homestead and surrounding gardens overlooking the Nepean River, an office, 3 stables, irrigation infrastructure and was reminiscent of a private park like estate with wonderful deciduous and evergreen tree plantings and kilometres of post and rail fencing. The property is equipped with a full spectrum of working improvements including shedding, grain storage, 67 day yards, round yards and a 1000m sand based exercise track.

Racing NSW has sought to keep the property in the industry's ownership, with the purchase providing them with enormous opportunity to establish a Racing Academy which will be used for training as well as an educational facility. The property will also be used as a show piece for the Horse Rehabilitation Program and potentially a quarantine station.

Jamie Inglis, Director of William Inglis and Son Ltd commentedthe property, held by the Cummings family for many years, was a wonderful opportunity to secure a piece of Australian Racing history. The fact that Racing NSW will become the steward of this wonderful farm for decades to come, and celebratethe legacy of 12 time Melbourne Cup winner Bart Cummings, is an outstanding result".

Rural Property Sales Manager, Sam Triggs commented, "Princes Farm is obviously a high profile and outstandingly equipped property which we were honoured to be entrusted with the sale; it has the brand, the history and the outstanding location, we wish Racing NSW every success with their purchase and future plans.

"This is the 3rd 'off-market' sale which Inglis Rural Property has successfully transacted during the last 12 months which shows the strength of our database and network and importantly our understanding of the markets we operate in."
