Once again, Racenet was on hand to get the feedback from every rider after every race.

This is what the jockeys thought of their rides during the day.

ANOTHER SIN

Corey Brown

(Prior to stewards inquiry) I got bumped first and his bump was bigger than mine. I was always going to win. We'll see what happens.

2nd

LIFESAVER (NZ)

Tye Angland

Good solid effort. We'll just have a look at the film to have a look at all the movement. (Unsuccessful Protest 2nd vs 1st)

3rd

PRINCE JACKO

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Obviously, the first two are pretty classy horses. He ran good.

4th

BULALA

Joshua Parr

Sound effort.

5th

MARCO MAN

Rebeka Prest (a3)

He ran alright, he'll go to the paddock now.

6th

ZA I'M YOUTHFUL

Rachael Murray

He was pretty honest I thought.

7th

NEVER SO SIRIUS

Brenton Avdulla

It was ok. They dropped me on the bend and is probably better suited up in distance.

8th

AND THERE IS MORE

Tommy Berry

Needed the run today.

9th

SUPER TONIC

Raymond Spokes

I'm just wondering if she's at the end of her prep.

10th

CARTEL

Jay Ford

They made a few gear changes and I think it had a negative effect. He wouldn't stretch out at all.

11th

SURPRISE PARTY

Tim Clark

She had a tough run. Slightly disappointing still.

KING VIV (NZ)

Tye Angland

Good win. The race just worked out perfect. The tempo was comfortable and it just allowed him to be on the bridle. They didn't dash home and just rolled through the gears nice. He was strong late, he'll get further.

2nd

NOT A GYPSY

Blake Shinn

Very good run.

3rd

MULTIFACETS (NZ)

Tommy Berry

He went really well. That was his race today, he just needs to find another one like it.

4th

MAGICAL STANCE

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Had a beautiful run in transit, just showed no turn of foot. He might be better off being kept to shorter and fresher.

5th

OAKFIELD MONARCH

Rachel King (a1.5)

Not too bad a run stepping up in class.

6th

MANHATTAN SON

Joshua Parr

Very disappointing.

7th

ZOURKHAN (IRE)

Brenton Avdulla

Disappointing.

8th

VAUCLUSE BAY

Corey Brown

Down the back I was happy with where I was, travelled ok. Then about the 1000m Tommy went up a notch in tempo and the moment he did I was on toast basically. He felt disinterested and tired. (Heart Arrythmia)

ARBEITSAM

Tommy Berry

I guess it is typical of one of Gai's horses, especially stayers. She hasn't had a lot of good ones in recent times but I've been in the stable a long time now. Horses like Descarado, she could keep them in the stable and keep them performing at their top for quite a while and she's done that with this bloke. She's dropped him back in trip, stepped him up, she has broken a few rules and he is still winning races. Coming down the straight, because I pressed him quite a long way out, I was wondering when I was going to find the top of him but I never did. He still kept picking up to the line. He felt like he had more in store.

2nd

CLASSIC UNIFORM

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Good run with a big weight. Obviously the winner is pretty handy but it was a great run.

3rd

SULTAN OF SWING (NZ)

Tim Clark

He ran well. The leader dictated but he finished off strongly.

4th

CENTRE PIVOT

Blake Shinn

5th

LOYALTY MAN

Brenton Avdulla

Missed the kick but just didn't let go.

6th

STAR FEST

Kathy O'Hara

It was actually a nice run for a horse a long way out of his grade.

7th

LIAPARI (NZ)

Corey Brown

Once the speed went on at the 1000m he was struggling, I was pushing the whole way.

8th

BERRY DELICIOUS

Rachel King (a1.5)

A bit flat today.

9th

GOLD AMBITION (NZ)

Deanne Panya (a2)

Once they stepped it up and put the pressure on he never tried.

BADAJOZ

Tye Angland

It was good. It was fairly easy in that race because I was following the right horse. It gets a bit tricky when they start dropping away in front of you but the second horse took me all the way into the straight and I knew I had enough to pick her up, I just didn't want to get there too early.

2nd

DENMAGIC

Corey Brown

She ran good but there's definitely a bit of a key to her and I haven't found it yet.

3rd

SELITA

Tommy Berry

She went super, I think the track is little too firm for her though.

4th

NO DOUBT

Blake Shinn

Good effort.

5th

DENPURR

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Very good run. Had no luck.

6th

PETROSSIAN

Rachael Murray

Track was a bit firm.

7th

ZESTFUL

Brenton Avdulla

They only went steady and I ended up in the box seat from barrier one but didn't have a lot of room to work with. Probably should have only been beaten half a length.

8th

SIR PLUSH (NZ)

Tim Clark

I gave it no chance.

9th

MOUNT NEBO

Rachel King (a1.5)

I think he's just looking for his pet distance back at 1300m and 1400m.

THE PHAROAH

Jay Ford

Good effort from him. We were able to control it from up front and when he was able to do that he was always going to give me a good kick and when I did ask him for an effort he responded very gamely. Very good reward for him. He's been a model of consistency and it was good to see him break through this preparation.

2nd

HOGMANAY

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Great run first-up, obviously he had everything go his way but I liked the way he attacked the line late.

3rd

PEACOCK

Blake Shinn

Had a good run just didn't finish off.

4th

ARGENT D'OR

Corey Brown

They were worried about the distance but I think he needs to go up in distance.

5th

DORF STAR

Brenton Avdulla

Funny run. He hit a flat spot at the top of the straight but then he worked through the line.

6th

NO INTEREST

Rachel King (a1.5)

They probably just went a touch slow for her.

7th

ZARA BAY

Christian Reith

Good run, just didn't finish off.

8th

WILD 'N' FAMOUS (NZ)

Tommy Berry

Had to do a bit of work but it was a little bit disappointing in the finish.

MENARI

Joshua Parr

It was a fantastic win wasn't it. He's won against the bias of the day which it takes an extremely good horse to do. It might sound a little bit arrogant but I had the confidence in him to do that and that's why I elected to go behind Lightz. He had 60.5kg and that was our concern and he got a little bit hot but class shone through.

2nd

SIEGE OF QUEBEC

Tim Clark

He's a good colt and ran a good race.

3rd

TREKKING

Brenton Avdulla

He went good. It was too short for him and he was still a bit raw mid-race but I think he's going to get better.

4th

OVERSHARE

Tommy Berry

Super job. He was caught wide for a fair bit but he's toughed it out well.

5th

I AM EXCITED

Corey Brown

She had no luck. Travelling three back the fence and had no crack at them. Got a crack late and she ran to line good. She's up to them but she had no luck.

6th

PERAST

Andrew Adkins (a0)

I was stuck wide in a high pressure race which gave us no hope.

7th

LIGHTZ

Kathy O'Hara

Raced a bit fresh today and needed the run.

KINGSGUARD (NZ)

That was a good win. Probably expected to be a little closer in the run but they went a good gallop early. He relaxed nice and had a lovely run from a soft barrier. He was very game, he had to take a narrow split into the straight. He has had a good campaign, obviously the other day was a bit of a blemish but he's bounced back today with a good solid performance.

2nd

TOM MELBOURNE (IRE)

Blake Shinn

Not much to say.

3rd

ETYMOLOGY

Corey Brown

He ran great for a horse of his style over seven furlongs. He's in for a big prep.

4th

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS

Tim Clark

Should have walked in.

5th

SARRASIN (GB)

Tommy Berry

Very nice horse. Settled back, hit the line well until the furlong and then ran out of gas but has a bright future.

6th

THAT'S A GOOD IDEA

Tye Angland

He was a bit keen through the middle stages but I thought he ran well.

7th

O'REILLY'S REVENGE (NZ)

Rachael Murray

Really good run first-up. Probably just felt the track a little bit.

8th

LUNAR RISE

Rachel King (a1.5)

Went super just up to a mile next start he'll go really good.

9th

OXFORD POET

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Too hard a track. Disappointing.

10th

DEE I CEE (NZ)

Very soft today. He'll be ok up in trip.

ELOUERA

Kathy O'Hara

Big effort from Rob and Luke. It's her 12th run in this preparation. For her to be winning a Saturday race 12 runs in is a pretty big effort. Her last couple of runs have been really good.

2nd

FAITH'S ENCORE

Tye Angland

We got her to jump today. She had a beautiful run through but late she wanted to lug out which cost us the race.

3rd

PRADA MISS

Tommy Berry

Great run, just didn't have the turn of foot to put them away today. Might be looking for a bit further now.

4th

MARIQUITA

Rachel King (a1.5)

Big run. Took a long time to get going to start with but flew home.

5th

HETTY HEIGHTS

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Super effort. Made very good ground late under extreme weight.

6th

GRETNA

Blake Shinn

Even effort.

7th

SUSPENDERS

Christian Reith

Huge run. Drew awkward, had a wide run with a big weight. She only got tired the last little bit but she'll bounce back.

8th

MANDALONG KISS

Andrew Banks

Not too bad.

9th

SLUMBER PARTY

Brenton Avdulla

Disappointing. She was beaten a long way out.

10th

SPECIAL MISSILE

Brenton Avdulla

This horse has been really good to me. I've had four rides on him for three wins and a second I think. He's going well and they'll keep raising the bar and I'm sure he'll keep improving.

2nd

MAPMAKER

Deanne Panya (a2)

He ran super we just didn't have anything to let us track into the race. He chased quite strongly.

3rd

NAT KING CU

Tim Clark

He ran terrific and is having a great preparation.

4th

IMANUI

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Ran super, the track today was just racing too much on the speed.

5th

VIRGILIO

Jay Ford

Good effort.

6th

Horse is in fantastic order he's just reached a benchmark now that makes it hard for him.

Hit the line well.

8th

Pretty good run, held his ground to the line.
