Six Length Winner for O’Lonhro

Tara Madgwick - Friday August 3
Larneuk Stud's O'Lonhro is the sire of exciting prospect A Good Yarn, who racked up his third successive win on Friday with a dazzling six length victory at Geelong.

O'LonhroThe five year-old gelding is prepared by Mervyn McKenzie and is in rare form having won four of his five starts since resuming from a spell on May 6.

With every win, A Good Yarn gets better and today he was untouched by Jarrod Fry when cruising home in second gear to win the 1100 metre Benchmark 70 by a widening six lengths running two seconds quicker than the maiden event over the same distance.

A full brother to O'Lonhro's very smart metro winner Big Reel, A Good Yarn may well end up better than his brother and is the third winner for Little Thread, a half-sister to Group II winner Silk Ali and stakes-winner Anxiety Attack.

O'Lonhro stands at Larneuk stud this spring at a fee of $5,500.
