Third Australian Winner for The Factor

Mark Smith - Sunday July 8

Making her third trip to the races in a 1400 metre maiden on the synthetic at Pakenham on Sunday, She's Sensational had all but one of the 10 starters behind her with 200 metres left to run but she charged home in the closing stages to credit her sire The Factor (USA) with his third winner in Australia.

Ridden by Corey Parish for Peter and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig, She's Sensational defeated the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Neshmiya (Medaglia d'Oro) by half a length with the Matt Cumani-trained Pressure (Jakkalberry) a short-head back in third.

A homebred for the Boyle family, She's Sensational is the sixth and final foal of the winning Favourite Trick (USA) mare Latest Love whose dam Love De Tor (Spectacular love) won the 1997 Group 1 Levin Bayer Classic.

After four seasons at Newgate Farm, The Factor (USA) (pictured) will not return in 2018. The son of War Front was exported to Japan earlier this year.
