Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit) sired his eighth European first crop 2YO winner and first in Ireland, when Bailly won the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden impressively overnight.
Landing a significant gamble, Bailly cleared away from her opposition over the 1000m journey to win at just her second start by 4 ½ lengths.
Fifth on debut at the Curragh last month Bailly settled behind the leaders before drawing clear over the concluding stages for a comprehensive win.
Leading trainer Ger Lyons was suitably impressed:
"That was impressive and I've always thought she was in my top batch of two year olds"."They were going some speed and I think she's as good as we thought"."She's a long way from being the finished article so we'll let her build up slowly and she could be a cracking filly next year with plenty of speed", said Lyons.
A £105,000 yearling purchase, Bailly is the eight individual first crop 2YO winner for her freshman sire Charm Spirit who has now sired winners in Great Britain, Ireland and France.
Charm Spirit's first southern hemisphere yearlings sold to $400,000 this year will commence racing in the 2018/19 season.
