at getting the best of his progeny with Lean Mean Machine, Zousain and Madam
Rouge all successful for the champion trainer, who will unleash another first
starter by the Champion First Season Sire elect at Canterbury today.
Two year-old filly Task and Purpose has shown promise at the trials an has a
good gate and the services of Tye Angland when she steps out in the third race
at Canterbury.
Task and Purpose was a $550,000 Magic Millions purchase for David Redvers/
Mulcaster Bloodstock from the Widden Stud draft and is the second foal of stakes-winning
General Nediym mare Combat Kitty, who was second in a Magic Millions 2YO
Classic.
