Sixth Winner for Fighting Sun

Sun Stud's promising young Northern Meteor sire Fighting Sun added a sixth winner to his tally on Tuesday with a bold front running win at Sale for Fighting Harada.

Fighting SunSent out a short priced favourite following a good fourth in the Listed MRC Redoute's Choice Stakes last month, the Mick Price trained Fighting Harada bounded straight to the front and kept going to win the 1419 metre maiden by two lengths.

From four starts, Fighting Harada has never finished worse than fourth and is clearly on an upswing.

Bred and retained to race by United Syndications. Fighting Harada is the fourth winner from four foals to race from winning More Than Ready (UA) mare Ready Made Family, who was also raced by United Syndications.

Fighting Harada is her last foal as she was retired in 2016.

Fighting Sun has made an encouraging start to his stud career with six winners (one in NZ)  on the board highlighted by stakes-winner Chess Star and stakes-placed Platinum Mam'selle.

He stands at a fee of $15,400 at Sun Stud this spring.
