Sopressa The Latest Inglis Graduate Group One Success

Media Release - Sunday May 6

So You Think filly Sopressa claimed the G1 Australasian Oaks, continuing her sires phenomenal start to his stud career.

The brave performance from the Darren Weir trained filly saw her become the fourth G1 winner for her sire So You Think, joining Inference, La Bella Diosa and D'Argento.

Sopressa Sold as a weanling at the Inglis Great Southern Sale in 2015 by Bucklee Farm, Sopressa was bought by Dowling Park for $70,000. Following her G1 win today, her earnings are already in excess of $430,000.

Coolmore Australia's Paddy Oman was ecstatic about the win and how well the sire has started at stud.

"So You Think is one of the best young sires in Australia and we are very lucky to have him," Oman said.

"Sopressa is the 4th Gr.1 winning three-year-old from his first 2 crops. He is a very potent source of elite races horses that improve as they get older.

"He has enjoyed tremendous support ever since he retired to stud, so with quality offspring coming through year after year, his record is just going to keep getting better and better.

"He is going to form a cornerstone of our roster for the foreseeable future."
