Another Impressive Zoustar Winner

Tara Madgwick - Friday April 27
Australia's leading first season sire Zoustar added another impressive winner to his tally when Solar Star raced away for an eaZoustarsy victory at Benalla on Friday.

Trained by Anthony Freedman, Solar Star placed in two of three starts in December and January, but has returned a stronger filly this time around.

She gave nothing else a look in when bolting clear to win by three lengths over 1106 metres.

A $190,000 NZB Premier purchase from the draft of Westbury Stud for BBA Ireland / Freedman Brothers, Solar Star runs for a partnership that includes Yarraman Park and Musk Creek Farm.

She is the first winner for Group III winning Not a Single Doubt mare Petty Cury and is the fifth winner for her sire Zoustar.

Zoustar returns to Widden this spring at a fee of $60,500.
