The number of $1 million plus yearlings improved to 15 at the conclusion of the second session of the 2018 William Inglis Australian Yearling Sale with eight colts and seven fillies making the seven figures.

We have a new leader after Hong Kong-based agent George Moore went to $1.8 million for Kia Ora Stud's colt out of the O'Reilly mare O'Marilyn who is a Group 1 winner in New Zealand and a half-sister to Group 1 ATC Derby winner Headturner and Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winner Anacheeva.

A syndicate consisting of Steve Morley Bloodstock / Glenlogan Park / Whitby Bloodstock and RIFA Mustang went to $1.5 million to secure Kitchwin Hills Snitzel colt out of Group 1 ATC Champagne Stakes winner Go Indy Go.\

The sale concludes on Wednesday with a further 120 lots in Book 1 followed by 83 lots catalogued for Book 2

The fireworks look likely to continue with the champion Snitzel having several likely types while Arrowfield will be offering a potential sale-topping Fastnet Rock colt who is a brother to this season's dual Group 1 winner Shoals.
