Media Release - Wednesday April 9

Success means different things to different people, but one thing is clear: Cressfield has had an exceptional few days, during the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.

The remarkable run began last Saturday when the Cressfield bred and sold Stefi Magnetica claimed her second Group 1 victory in the Doncaster Mile, boosting her owners' stakes earnings to over $5.8 million. Purchased for $140,000 by Cunningham Thoroughbreds/Clarke Bloodstock Pty Ltd (FBAA)/Bjorn Baker Racing at Magic Millions in 2022, Stefi Magnetica has repaid her owners in spades.

Riding the high of breeding a Doncaster winner, the following day saw more evidence of Cressfield’s breeding excellence. Lot 105, a So You Think filly out of Personal, presented by Coolmore sold for $1.15 million to Glentree Thoroughbreds/Badgers Bloodstock.

Personal, born and bred at Cressfield was also an Easter Sale graduate in 2019, bought by Coolmore for $640,000, she and went on to win the VRC Oaks.

Just three lots later, Cressfield presented their own striking filly from the Gr1-winning mare Pippie. Champions Farms/Satomi Oka Bloodstock secured the daughter of I Am Invincible for $1.4 million, continuing the strong demand for Cressfield-bred horses.

Day 2 of the Easter sale saw the Wootton Bassett colt out of the Cressfield-bred mare Egyptian Missile sell for $1.2 million, with Tom Magnier securing the colt from the Ridgmont draft.

While not a member of the million -dollar club, another Cressfield bred broodmare, Merited (Fastnet Rock) also posted impressive sales results at Easter with her So You Think filly selling for $420,000 to Geisel Park. This being just her second foal, her first foal, a colt by Deep Field sold for $800,000 at the 2024 Magic Millions sale to the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

In total, the 2025 Inglis Easter Sale saw 25 million-dollar lots sold with Cressfield having a hand in producing three of them, while also being the breeder of a major race winner during the Sydney Autumn Carnival.

It has been an impressive few days, to say the least.
