Juvenile Trial Watch Monday - Warwick Farm and Kembla

Juvenile trials were at Warwick Farm and Kembla Grange on Monday with a half-brother to Santa Ana Lane showing up, an unraced Ole Kirk, another flyer for Graff and Ciaron Maher gave us the first look at a Snitzel colt.

Amalfi Coast as a yearling

Heat 10 at Warwick Farm saw five time Group I winner Santa Ana Lane’s half-brother, Amalfi Coast having his second trial and first for this campaign having had one back in December.

By Written Tycoon out of Fast Fleet, the Waterhouse/Bott trained colt was sent along from the gate by Adam Hyeronimus, settling on pace and went to the line with something in reserve.

He was a $500,000 buy for China Horse Club / Newgate / Go Bloodstock / Trilogy from Vinery Stud at Inglis Easter.

Heat 11 at Warwick Farm produced another Ole Kirk youngster showing talent in the gelded Aerodrome.

Having his third trial, second for this campaign, the Michael Freedman trained gelding sat up on pace and kept going t to the line to win narrowly to beat another unraced one in My Bella Vista.

The first foal of Group II SAJC Sires Produce winner She Shao Fly (Epaulette), Aerodrome was a $190,000 buy for Nine9park from Gilgai Farm at Inglis Easter.

The runner-up My Bella Vista (2f Hellbent x Jamdani) with Matthew Smith also obviously has oppoptential and has a half-sister by Exceedance entered for the Inglis HTBA Yearling Sale with Davali Thoroughbreds.

First season sire Graff has been making a big impression with his first block of runners and the free running Dirtballer scorched to a 5.5 length win at her first public appearance in Heat nine.

Trained locally by Mitch Beer, the filly is the third foal of a daughter of Group II winner and Group I placed Vormista and cost Patriot Bloodstock / Wattle Bloodstock (FBAA) a mere $20,000 from the Alma Vale/Kitchwin Hills Partnership at Inglis Classic.

Graff has had five runners to date for two winners including QTIS Jewel winner Grafterburners, as well as two placegetters to be sitting fifth on the First Season Sires table.

Heat 10 at Kembla saw Ciaron Maher produce Snitzel colt Agent Zero for the first time, scoring a narrow win over unraced Exceedance filly Gilette.

Agent Zero, by Snitzel out Americain mare Benitoite, he was a $500,000 buy for his trainer from Segenhoe Stud at Magic Millions Gold Coast.
