Aussie Sprinters Ready for Action in Dubai

Australian gallopers have drawn starting positions on both sides of the Meydan straight track for Saturday's $US1 million Al Quoz Sprint (1200m).

Australia will be represented by three runners in the feature contest –Bjorn Baker's Music Magnate (Written Tycoon)  the Peter Gelagotis-trained Illustrious Lad (I Am Invincible) and the Hayes/Dabernig galloper Faatinah (Nicconi).

Faatinah will start from the inside barrier with Illustrious Lad jumping from gate 4 while Music Magnate's barrier of 12 was described by Baker as "perfect".

Music Magnate is drawn alongside race favourite, the Charlie Appleby-trained Blue Point which starts from barrier 13.

The race is Race 5 on the Dubai World Cup card and the start time is 1.05am (AEDT) on Sunday morning.
