Galileo five year-old Klondike (GB) was having his second trial in Australia and stretched his legs nicely in the run to the line to finish second in his 1200m heat.

iously trained by William Haggas, Klondike is a stayer that has won three of nine starts from 2200 to 2800m winning at Group III and Listed level in France and the UK.
Purchased last year from the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale for 240,000 guineas by SackvilleDonald, Klondike has not raced since last September.
A half-brother to Group II winner Kemari from Group III winner Koora, he comes from a Black type packed female family that includes Group I St Leger winner Milan.
