Cox has given six months' notice with a "difference in opinion on strategic direction and values" reportedly triggering the decision.

The former boss of Magic Millions and then Godolphin Australia, Cox joined Yulong in November 2023 and has been a familiar face at the races enjoying outstanding G1 success achieved by the likes of Via Sistina (IRE) and Devil Night.

"I want to thank the exceptional team and clients I have had the privilege to work with," Cox said in a statement.

"I do not want to make any further comment."

With an ever expanding breeding operation in Victoria, Yulong is owned by Chinese billionaire Yuesheng Zhang and has cemented its position as a global force in racing and breeding, purchasing high end horses all over the world under various pseudonyms such as Highway Farm, Walnut Farm, etc.

Yulong will have a presence at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale next week where they will offer a draft of 11 including the first foal of their outstanding Frankel filly Hungry Heart, who was the Champion Australian 3YO Filly of 2020/2021 winning the Group I ATC Vinery Stud Stakes and Australian Oaks.

The colt by Written Tycoon will be offered as Lot 410.
