The $150,000 contest is likely to be Lankan Rupee's first run since his fourth in the Group I Darley Classic (1200m) during last year's Flemington spring carnival and the gelding has had two jumpouts to prepare for his return to racing.

Lankan Rupee's rating of 115 is 11 points higher than the next best entries, Keen Array and Lord Of The Sky, while fellow Bletchingly Stakes nominees Charmed Harmony, Tashbeeh and Sir John Monash Stakes winner Supido also carry ratings over 100.

Robert Smerdon has entered improving sprinter Ability for the event while Queensland-based trainer John Meagher has entered Savanna Amour, the winner of the Group II Angus Armanasco Stakes at Caulfield in the autumn, for the Bletchingly Stakes.

Saturday's Caulfield meeting also features the $150,000 VOBIS Gold Ingot (1400m) and VOBIS Gold Stayers (2400m), which are races restricted to horses paid up for the VOBIS Gold incentive scheme.

The VOBIS Gold Ingot is restricted to two-year-olds and has attracted 17 entries, including the first-up Sandown winner Fully Maxed.
