Brave Smash will make his first appearance for the Darren Weir stable in the $150,000 contest.

Trainers David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig have four nominations for the Aurie's Star Handicap, including the Group I Australian Guineas placegetter Snitzson and the stakes winner Grande Rosso.

Greg Eurell has nominated handy galloper We've Got This to resume in the race while Canberra trainer Matthew Dale has entered Beatniks, who was scratched from last Saturday's Flemington meeting.

Saturday's meeting also features a 1400m Open Handicap in which the Weir-trained Raw Impulse is among the nominations along with the Mornington Cup winner Tally.
