Rheinwood Pastoral Seeking New Stud Manager

Media Release - Monday August 7
An exciting opportunity exists for a horseperson to manage boutique thoroughbred stud Rheinwood Pastoral located in the picturesque Southern Highlands of NSW, just 1 ½ hrs south of Sydney.

The role includes the following;

  • manage the daily running of the stud, including the care of our 35 resident broodmares and foals, weanlings, yearlings & spelling racehorses
  • organise and liaise with vets, farriers & dentist - managing all aspects of horse care
  • preparing mares for cover and organising walk-on's to Hunter and Vic
  • education of young stock and preparation of yearlings for sale
  • general farm pastoral management and maintenance

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the thoroughbred industry
  • Be passionate and motivated to help us grow our business
  • Have genuine care for and affinity for the horses and their wellbeing
  • Have sound administrative & record keeping skills – vaccinations, drenching, supplies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hold current Drivers Licence

A generous salary package will be offered to the successful candidate - including a house located in Bowral (10mins from the farm) and a fully maintained vehicle.
