Sheer Talent Yearlings to Sell at MM Adelaide

Media Release - Monday March 12

Carrington Park Stud is proud to offer the first yearlings by their new stallion Sheer Talent at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale this week. A son of the brilliant 'sire of sires' Redoute's Choice, he descents from the great stallion producing family of Eight Carat.

Sheer Talent colt from Rock the Media to be offered at Adelaide MMBred by Gerry Harvey's Baramul Stud, he was a $350,000 Yearling himself and trained on to be a Two-year-old winner, a Group 3 winner of the C.S. Hayes Stakes at Flemington over 1400m and placed 3rd in the Group 1 Australian Guineas as a Three-year-old. His career was cut short due to injury to only 10 starts.

"Redoute's Choice stallions are such solid producers of top class racehorses here in Australia" enthused Carrington Park's Peter Beauman.

"Every weekend we see his sons sire stakes winners all around the country and this past weekend was no different with Redzel, Estijaab, Not A Single Cent & Bella Martini all winning group races. Sheer Talent shares a similar race profile to both Not A Single Doubt and Beneteau being sons of Redoute's Choice and a stakes winner of a Group or a Listed Race, with a placing in a high level race such as a Group 1 or Magic Millions 2YO Classic. They both sired G1 winners from low fees and ghose buyers of their first crops at the sales would be wishing they could buy a Not A Single Doubt at sales similar to those prices early in their careers. Another similar stallion is Commands from the same Eight Carat family, who was a Group 3 Winner and Group 1 Placed in the Caulfield Guineas, he went on to sire 77 Stakes Winners starting at a low fee, so there is great opportunity for buyers to get in on the ground level with Sheer Talent here at Magic Millions Adelaide."

Buyers are welcomed to inspect Sheer Talent Yearlings at the Magic Millions Adelaide Sales Complex at Barn 11, click here to see the draft.
