Lord Of The Sky has run his last race after cooling down from his run in Saturday’s Group I Newmarket Handicap with an injury.

Lord Of The Sky finished 14th on Saturday but has torn the tendon sheath in his off foreleg.

Lord Of The Sky retires with seven wins and earnings of $1,126,150 from 32 starts.

He won three times at Group III level in this year’s Standish Handicap at Flemington, the 2016 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield and the 2014 Sir John Monash Stakes at Caulfield.

Lord Of The Sky also finished runner-up to Chautauqua in the Group I T J Smith Stakes at Randwick and to Flamberge in the Group I Goodwood Handicap at Morphettville.

The son of Danerich will stand at Matthew Sandblom’s Kingstar Farm in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
