One to Watch - Kembla

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday March 6
As a half-sister by champion sire More Than Ready (USA) to three stakes-winners, you would like to think this maiden winner on Tuesday and Kembla will be winning much better races than this.

Readycatgo as a yearlingSent out a short priced favourite for the 1000 metre sprint, the David Pfieffer trained filly Readycatgo steamed home down the outside with a well-timed run to score a half length win.

That was her first run back from a spell having finished fourth and second in good class metropolitan maidens back in the spring.

Readycatgo was a $180,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Widden Stud draft for her trainer, who also prepared her stakes-winning siblings Gai's Choice and Atmospherical.

Bred and sold by Widden Stud, Readycatgo is the sixth winner from six foals to race from stakes-placed Faster Pussycat, the dam of Group I placed stakes-winner Gai's Choice and Group II placed stakes-winners Atmospherical and Peron.

Faster Pussycat has not had a foal since 2015, but was covered last spring by Star Witness.
