Yes Yes Yes Promising Double on Boxing Day

Tara Madgwick - Thursday December 26

Champion trainer Chris Waller prepared quality three year-old colt Yes Yes Yes to win the Everest in 2019 and got a Boxing Day reward from the young sire with a pair of promising three year-old maiden winners that saluted within half an hour of each other at Randwick and Newcastle and one of them is the last foal of a celebrated blue hen.

Endure was having her second start in the 1400m maiden at Randwick having been scratched when favourite last Friday at Canterbury after a mishap behind the gates.

She quickly made amends producing a tenacious effort for Rachel King to outpoint her stablemate Delrico to win by half a length.

Endure was a bargain purchase for her trainer, snapped up for just $36,000 at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in the Showcase Session from Yarran Thoroughbreds.

Endure is the first foal from Enduring Love, a winning mare by renowned staying sire Camelot (GB) from stakes-winner Holy Moly and her next dam is by Zabeel, so longer trips may prove suitable in time.

Enduring Love has a yearling filly by Overshare that will be offered at Inglis Premier by Rushton Park as Lot 634.

Bringing up the double for Yes Yes Yes and Waller was regally bred three year-old colt Pretty Powerful, who broke the ice at his second start to win a $60,000 Super Maiden at Newcastle over 1350m.

Pretty Powerful ran well for sixth on debut in a metro maiden earlier this month and looked well placed to open his account in style beating the favourite by a length and a half.

A homebred for Dr Denis and Claire O’Brien’s Clairden Racing, Pretty Powerful is the ninth winner from nine foals to race from blue hen Pretty Penny, whose star offspring are headed by Group winners Sertorious, Pretty Brazen and Dollar for Dollar, who were all second in G1 races, as well as Group winners Pretty Amazing and Clifton Red, not to mention three more stakes-placed horses in Rezealient, I Am Titanium and Fortune of War.

Pretty Powerful pictured as a foal at Coolmore - the very last foal from his dam Prettty Penny.

Foaled and raised at Coolmore, Pretty Powerful is the last foal for Pretty Penny, who has now been retired, and it will be no surprise if he can progresses into Black Type company as have all of his siblings that have raced!
