Ridden by Brad Parnham for his father Neville, the short-priced favourite defeated the fast-finishing Exceedance gelding Exceed The Planet by a half-length with the Ocean Park gelding Olympic Park back in third.

Brad Parnham has won four of the last five Fairetha Stakes, and Neville Parnham the last three.

A homebred for the Edwards family, September Born is a brother to the top-class filly  Kay Cee, whose five stakes wins were headed by the 2019 Group 1 WATC Kingston Town Classic.

"He did a big job today from an outside barrier," Neville Parnham said.

"He began sedately and looked likely to be caught out in the cheap seats, but he got a nice trail three deep.

"He still has improvement and hopefully we will see him in a couple of weeks in the Guineas.

"I think he will get the mile on his ear."
